Digartref Cyf is a registered charity, providing a range of services that aim to alleviate the effects of homelessness on individuals, families and our local community.

 

As we move forward with our plans to expand and continually improve services, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Day Centre Coordinator, experienced in delivering high quality, accessible services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

 

The post holder will have day to day operational responsibility for the provision of a direct access homeless Day Centre service including; the management of the building, ensuring health and safety requirements are met and food hygiene standards are maintained. In addition, providing day to day support and supervision of Day Centre support workers and volunteers. 

Ideally applicants would be expected to:

  • Have an appropriate qualification/experience in housing/homelessness and of working with individuals with complex needs.

  • Have experience in supporting and managing a staff team

  • Have the ability to manage and recruit a pool of volunteers

  • Have a working knowledge of Welfare Benefits

  • Have a good standard of IT skills including use of Microsoft Office  

  • Have a flexible approach to working hours including evenings and weekends (working to a 7 day rota) 

  • The ability to drive and having access to a car is essential

  • The ability to communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh and English or the willingness to learn

  • The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check that will be processed by Digartref  Cyf

Complex Needs Outreach Worker

Salary Pt 19 to 21 -

£19.153.17 - £20,577.66

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Outreach worker who is able to work collaboratively with a multi-agency response team, supporting vulnerable individuals with complex needs including: mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, housing, etc and are not engaging with support services generally.

 

The aim will be to provide a holistic support service, taking this out to people in their communities across Gwynedd and Ynys Mon. This may include in the homes of individuals or in local hubs/drop in sites.

The post holder will be required to offer support that aims to address issues that may be impacting and contributing to an individual’s situation and complex life style. This may include providing advice, support, information, or onward referral in relation to housing or homelessness, welfare benefits, mental health, substance misuse, education, training or employment opportunities. Additionally, assistance may also be required in meeting service users basic needs e.g. access to food, shelter, clothing etc.

Assistant Support Worker

Salary Pt 18

£18,463.52

(37 hours per week)

 

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced worker for a service that provides temporary housing related support services to homeless young people aged 16 to 24, with the overall aim of supporting young people to acquire the skills necessary for independent living and assisting young people to move on to permanent accommodation within the community, working with a range of external organisations.  At the core and cluster, there will be 24 hour staff cover. Staff will be required to work to a rota including; weekends, evenings and waking nights. Some shifts will require you to lone work.

 

Ideally applicants would be expected to:

  • Have experience of working with vulnerable young people

  • Have experience in delivering person centred support services to homeless young people (16-24 years).

  • Be flexible/able to work unsociable hours

  • Have an appropriate qualification/experience in a similar role

  • The ability to drive and having access to a car is essential
