Established in 1998 to alleviate homelessness and the related effects on individuals, families and our communities
Digartref has been delivering a Mediation service across Anglesey and Gwynedd since 2007.
Since then, the service has expanded through the addition of various workshops, tailoring to the needs of the communities and referring agencies.
The service is now known as 'Mediation and Family Led Intervention Workshops'.
WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is an intervention, used to resolve conflict and improve current situations.
It is a voluntary and confidential service for young people (aged 12+) and adults, provided by our trained and accredited Mediators.
Our experienced Mediators play an impartial third party role to assist parties in resolving conflict through the use of specialized techniques such as talking, listening, compromising and negotiating.
The amount of sessions can be negotiated with our Mediators in order to ensure that all parties involved are given every opportunity to reach a mutual agreement in resolving their differences.
Our Mediation service can be facilitated through the medium of Welsh or English.
Our Mediation service can be effective for the following situations:
· Family/Relationship breakdown;
· Neighbourhood disputes;
· Landlords and tenants disputes;
· Disputes within Supported Accommodation;
· Homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
